Bombay Blasts : Leave the grieving alone!

Go to this site - this is the coverage of the blasts . Alternatively go here and see the video titled 'Painful aftermath...'

Some typical dude of Indian origin reporting with that irritating accent...has no clue of courtesies such as PLEASE LEAVE THE GRIEVING ALONE!

Lands up at one of the unfortunate family's residence and has the bloody gall to say that the family came to know of the death of their member just a few hours before they landed up.

You know what that means, you idiot? It means leave the poor people alone!

Forget that, he also decides to do an 'extra' - so he goes to a crematorium and in a very stupid idiotic nonchalant fashion stands next to some funeral pyre and does his reporting. Ah, that'll look good for the worldwide audiences! They've never seen a funeral pyre before.

The worst was zooming in on the poor relatives' faces at their residence - the father and (presumably) the sister of the deceased. i am sure they'd have tortured the wife as well but 'she was holed up in a room'.

Also, somewhere around the 1.47 minute mark of the video, watch as one lady comes into the room and tells people to clear off.

Who is to blame ????

For what ...the misery which faceless terrorists ..nay murderers perpetrated on innocent people going about their life ...or the misery which media inflicts on the relatives on these victims...there is no dignity in death...wailing mothers make for interesting soundbites ...funeral pyres make for a great visual shot ...where will it all end .

If the terrorists suceeded in blowing up 200 people ..the media made sure that the impact was felt by 1 billion in India alone and anothert couple of billion i am sure world wide ...

I wonder sometimes would World War's have been the same in the media glare ...is it good ...is it bad ...

Vultures that's what media has become ...feeding on misery ...following misery ...capturing misery ...showcasing misery ...ironically enough they get rewarded ...some channel claims they showed the world the blasts ...indeed congratulations to them ...i wonder if the bomb had blown in their office how they would have reacted ...would they still feel great ...where is the world going ...Crime shows glorifying sex & sleaze...is that the role of media ...

What about advertisers who fund these shows because they are highly rated ...what about reserach agencies ..that show that these shows are highest rated ...does no body have a social responsibility ...is no body human ...or is money everything ...when will we ever come out of it ...

Media is responsible for glorifying terrorists ...they want attention and media gives it to them ...unpaid PR ...an un named VHS by a terorist will surely find it's place in news bulletins but a good deed will never be seen ...

Till then we wait and see how many more such events are needed before our conscience wakes up ...in this land of the dead ....

Very well said, Anonymous.

The whole thing is a spiral. Media says people want to watch this so we give it to them. Viewers say we see what is shown to us.

Ultimately it's competition for eyeballs that's driving these nuts to do what they're doing and i think that's where the govt. steps in.

If you have some kind of a law that prevents them from torturing the relatives of the deceased everyone's then on an equal footing.

The only guys who say that terrorism has no religion are muslims!
